Strategy, Structure and Best Practices that Make a Destination Management Organization (DMO)
What is a DMO? Destination management organizations (DMO’s) may be public, private or hybrid entities, that…
We're a small team that knows European Destination Management Companies inside out. We match event planners and private clients with the right DMC – faster, for free, without agency fees. And we help strong DMCs find the right briefs without chasing them.
Finding a reliable DMC in Europe is harder than it should be. A Google search gives you names. A directory gives you profiles. Neither tells you which DMC actually fits your event – your destination, your group size, your budget, your timeline, your industry.
Event planners spend days shortlisting. Private clients don't know where to start. And DMCs – even the best ones – spend time pitching to briefs that were never the right fit in the first place.
We built dmc.travel to close that gap. One brief in. One matched DMC out. No agency fees, no cold-call flood, no time lost to shortlisting. Just the match that should have been obvious from the start.
Four principles that shape every match we make.
Every DMC on our platform goes through verification – trade licence, liability insurance, client references from recent projects, and capacity check against what they claim to specialise in. We re-verify annually.
Your project doesn't get sent to the DMC who's "next in queue". Our team reads every brief and picks the partner we'd recommend to a friend in the same situation.
When we match you with a DMC, only that one DMC reaches out. Your brief isn't distributed across a network. Your contact details aren't shared until you approve the introduction.
DMCs compensate us with the same flat commission regardless of which one we recommend. That's how we stay honest – we earn the same whether we match you with DMC A or DMC B, so we have no reason to push one over another.
Anton built dmc.travel after years in travel and events kept running into the same problem: great planners struggled to find great DMCs, and great DMCs struggled to reach the right briefs. He leads the company's direction, partnerships with major networks, and long-term vision.
Pauline is who you meet first when you request a consultation. She reads every client brief, decides which DMC is the right fit, and makes the introduction. On the other side, she runs the relationships with our DMC partners across Europe. She speaks English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Greek.
Julie keeps the platform running. She coordinates onboarding for new DMC partners, manages listings and verification cycles, and makes sure every process behind the scenes works smoothly – so the people using the platform don't have to think about it.
Alex leads the technology. He builds and maintains the platform that makes matching, browsing, and collaboration work fast and securely – whether you're an event planner searching for a DMC in Lisbon or a DMC updating your listing in Vienna.
