Since 2002, Start Travel has operated as a family-owned DMC across Crete, anchored in Heraklion. The company holds GNTO accreditation (license 1039E60600082000) and handles incoming tourism, M.I.C.E., conferences, incentive programmes, and group tours across the island.
Start Travel manages the full scope of destination services: airport transfers and land arrangements for charter flights, accommodation reservations with hotel contracting, and tailor-made itinerary planning for individuals and travel agencies. The company coordinates on-site representation and day-of logistics for groups and events, and designs team-building activities as part of corporate programmes. Its conference portfolio includes four consecutive years organising L'Oréal Paris congresses for groups of 1,000 guests and the European Operating Room Nurses Association congress for 2,500 attendees. Group handling draws on 35 years of cumulative experience, with flexible programme design built around client demographics, cultural interests, and sightseeing priorities.
Start Travel holds membership in ACTTA (Cretan Association of Travel Agents) and maintains GNTO accreditation as a licensed incoming travel agency and DMC operator.
