MICE DMC & Event Management Companies in Europe
703 companies across 29 countries for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions
MICE means Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions. Europe has become the largest market for that sector in the world, considering international delegate share, and hosts thousands of events within those categories year after year. DMCs which specialize in MICE can manage on-ground aspects of the travel service more efficiently than travel agencies working remotely.

28 yrsThe role of a DMC in the MICE industry
MICE DMCs cover every standard event format and work as the operational layer for international travel planners:
- Meetings: Board meetings, sales kickoffs and workshops. DMCs source the right venues, managed staff transfers, and coordinate food and beverage services.
- Conferences and congresses: Multi-day, multi-track events — including hybrid formats — for 200 to 5,000+ delegates. DMCs work along with Professional Congress Organizers (PCO) to arrange logistics, social programs, and post-conference tours.
- Exhibitions and trade shows: DMCs provide on-ground support at major European exhibitions including delegate management, stand logistics, hospitality suites, and side events (see our Trade Shows page).
- Incentives: Many MICE DMCs build full incentive travel programs as a core offering (see our Incentive Travel page).
- Venue sourcing: DMCs maintain vast databases of conference centers, hotels, and unconventional spaces such as castles, museums, and industrial venues. Their logs include capacity, AV capabilities, catering limits, and accessibility.
- Social and partner programs: While delegates attend sessions, accompanying persons may want to enjoy curated city tours, exclusive shopping experiences, or activities such as cooking classes on the local cuisine.
Why Europe leads in MICE
Europe's MICE infrastructure is unmatched across five dimensions:
- Convention bureau network: Almost every European city has a convention bureau actively bidding to host international events such as conferences and congresses and, to that end, with their expertise and capabilities verified by ICCA rankings.
- Exhibition capacity: ExCeL London, Fiera Milano, Frankfurt Messe, IFEMA Madrid, RAI Amsterdam and many other facilities offer an overall quality level that makes them repeatedly rank among the largest purpose-built exhibition centers in the world.
- Hotel density: MICE hubs such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Lisbon and Vienna offer thousands of hotel rooms for multiple budgets, and most of them are located within walking distance of the major convention centers available in the city.
- Airlift: Hub airports and low-cost carriers make multi-country delegate travel practical and cost-effective.
- Sustainability: European convention venues are the global leaders when it comes to obtaining environmental certifications such as EMAS, ISO 20121, and the Green Globe. Those are increasingly required in corporate RFPs.
What to include in a MICE brief
A clear brief gets better proposals. Include:
- Program dates, delegate count, and budget range per person
- Event format (plenary session, breakout room, exhibition, social programs etc.)
- Venue preferences (convention center, hotel, or unique spaces)
- AV and production requirements (see our Event Production page)
- Transfer needs (to and from the airport, between event venues, any VIP requirements etc.)
- Accommodation star level, proximity needs, room block size
- Dietary, accessibility, and sustainability requirements
