About Turismo de Lisboa
Since 1997, Turismo de Lisboa – Visitors & Convention Bureau has managed MICE operations, incentive programmes and leisure tourism across Lisbon. The organization holds vice-president status within the Portuguese Tourism Confederation and participates in strategic councils for both industrial association and tourism promotion, embedding it within Portugal's institutional tourism framework.
The bureau coordinates congress and conference organization, designs multi-day custom itineraries, and operates group and private guided tours across cultural, wine and culinary themes. Specific programmes include the Baroque Route and Saramago Route heritage experiences, wine tastings, gastronomy-focused itineraries, and gala dinner events. Venue sourcing draws on partnerships with 52+ museums and monuments, while accommodation coordination connects clients with hotel partners. Transfers are complemented by access to the Lisboa Card, which provides free transportation throughout the city.
Turismo de Lisboa functions as the official convention bureau for Lisbon, combining destination promotion with operational event support. Its dual positioning—serving both leisure visitors and business delegations—reflects institutional recognition of Lisbon's dual appeal as both cultural destination and congress venue.
