Since 1988, The Icebreaking Company has operated across Kemi, Rovaniemi and Oulu, drawing on decades of experience as a tourism operator rooted in Arctic sea experiences. The company owns and operates one of Finland's most internationally known travel services, built on the distinctive proposition of sea-based activities in the Lapland region.
The company delivers incoming DMC services through its dedicated Icebreaking DMC division, supported by a Head of DMC Sales & Partnerships. Its MICE offering centers on SnowCastle365, a purpose-built meetings and events house with modern meeting rooms and sauna facilities overlooking the sea. Incentive programs feature Arctic icebreaker cruises—the Sampo and Arktis vessels—combined with ice floating experiences and year-round SnowExperience attractions. Ground transportation, accommodation across seaside Glass Villas and SnowCastle Camping, custom itinerary planning, private Arctic experiences, group tours, venue sourcing in ice and snow settings, and corporate teambuilding activities round out the service portfolio. The company collaborates with Visit Rovaniemi, Visit Oulu and Visit Kemi to develop tailored programs.
